They're all crap but HKA are getting A350's and there's talk of more money on offer later, perhaps the least crap. Why not Ryanair?

Thats why these above mentioned air carriers are accepting frozen atpl's and i wanted to know which is the least "worst". I see here that some people have a problem with that. I dont want to start a debate about terms and conditions cause i am also not in the position to do that. Like i said, i can not afford to be picky.

My guess was the air hong kong was the best option since they have a base in Penang from what i've read. Bond is about 3 years. But then again they operate the "old" A300, which is almost not flying anymore in the EU.

Hong kong Express, well they operate the A320 which is more job secure in the EU. No idea about the bond.

Air Macau, well, 50.000 usd bond and contract for 5 years and reduced salary......

I was hoping to get in touch with people wo have experience with one of those 3.

My experience: 4000tt, 3600h on small biz jet.

Tx

Why do you have to choose?

You haven't even applied to any of them yet. How do you know they'll all let you in?

Apply first, then if and when you do have a choice to make, consider your options based on the conditions offered and the questions you will have asked them directly during the interview(s).

With those hours, my advice would be to swallow your pride & go to the US and un-freeze your ATPL.

Then apply for a job commensurate with your hours, ie someone in the middle east. The conditions over there are not much better than HK, but the biggest cost saving is provided housing. Plus the flight to visit Europe is much shorter.

Bonding has no legality in HK. Both HKA and HKE may tell you that you are bonded, but they can't legally enforce it. Leaving pilots tend to just walk away.

Another lazy ass hangar sweeper.....

4000 hours and you didn't think it was smart to just go UNFREEZE your atpl yourself? It ain't that expensive if you have a mortgage you could have done it years ago. Just by the fact that your current employer hasn't assisted you spells it out...why assist a dumbass who can't leave without an atpl.....I have you locked in.

Any future employer looks at 4000 hours and no Atpl? Is he that lazy? You can just see the recruitment depts in other carriers going "huh? Lazy...bin his resume"

Sheehs the stupid is strong with this one. ...I side the mole on this.

I'm just confused about one thing...

How is it that all that "fair minded socialism" in the EU has failed to create work for you?

I have to laugh at all the Euro lefties who herald the virtues of Europe and socialism yet run to Hong Kong and its capitalism to get a decent job. LMAO is an understatement.

Funny how I keep forgetting that some guys on here fell off their mother's womb straight into the left seat of a widebody with a cushy job.

It must be a great feeling to be an aviator who's so fundamentally perfect and beyond reproach that he's fully entitled to verbally defecate on anyone who has to take the long way up there.
No, really, I envy you guys.

PLEASE apply to CX. I would MUCH prefer to sit next to you for 6 hours, rather than babysit the kid I had to this week. You have ACTUAL previous flight time (gasp)! And I'll bet you ALSO have driven a motor vehicle of some kind at least once before!! Oh, the stories we'd tell!!

PS - I'm just feeling sorry for myself. Don't do it, for your own sake.
