Good read indeed. Sadly the target audience of the major news outlets (most people) will not find it interesting. Most people prefer a more sensationalistic and emotive viewpoint even if accuracy takes a back seat.

Yes excellently written article. The same can't be said for the excretia that pours hot off the presses at Daily Mail/ Das Bild world.

Sadly the target audience of the major news outlets (most people) will not find it interesting.

Then again, that target audience has a ludicrously small attention span and advanced ADD.

Give the non aviation-involved audience about a week or two, and they'll have moved on to the next media-fueled emotional tragedy and will struggle to remember what the whole kaboodle was all about.

What I fear the most are knee-jerk reactions towards pilots from regulators and operators.

Is it just me or is anyone else confused by the alleged number of pilots who allegedly want the security doors removed again. Crazy talk IMO.
