Sadly the target audience of the major news outlets (most people) will not find it interesting.
Then again, that target audience has a ludicrously small attention span and advanced ADD.
Give the non aviation-involved audience about a week or two, and they'll have moved on to the next media-fueled emotional tragedy and will struggle to remember what the whole kaboodle was all about.
What I fear the most are knee-jerk reactions towards pilots from regulators and operators.
