List of creationist freaks:
Francis Bacon - 'father of modern science'
Johannes Kepler - Keplers law of planetary motion
Galileo - hmm...who?
Rene Descartes - key thinker of the scientific revolution
John Wallis - helped develop calculus
Isaac Newton - don't really need to explain do I ?
William Herschel - noted astonomer
Louis Pasteur - noted scientist
Ernest Rutherford -'Father of Nuclear Physics'
Guglielmo Marconi - ....if you don't know, you are in wrong business
William Bragg - Nobel prize, physics
William Pollard - director of the US nuclear establishment, noted physisist
Richard Smalley - Nobel laureate, Chemistry
Abraham Lincoln - abolished slavery
not inclusive by any means...
...yup, a real bunch of freaks. Glad I didn't have to 'share space' with any of them.... When you can demonstrate how the first 'spark' of life came into existence through random causes, call me.

Interesting list but I have neither the inclination nor the time to debate it with you. Reasoned debate doesn't come into a discussion with somebody who believes the world is only 10,000 years old.

There have been over 800 Nobel prizes awarded - Jews have been awarded over 160 in all categories,Those of the Islamic faith 11. Jews comprise .2 % of the worlds population,Muslims 25%. These statistics perhaps explain the ignorance of the Saudi cleric.
In the 1980's when I was in Saudi the head of the ulema was Sheik Al Baz - he publicly claimed that the Earth was flat, even after Prince Bandar brought back photographs taken on his flight in the space shuttle.

Oh man...first the guys from ISIS, and now Trafalgar? Ugh....
It doesn't matter what some scientists may have believed or not, particularly in the past, prior to the mountains of evidence and facts that were not yet discovered or understood. I think that meaningless list is quoted under the definition of "red herring."
Supernatural beliefs do not matter one bit and do not deserve any respect...or do you respect ISIS beliefs, too? Imaginary magic does not explain anything, and all of it is continuously debunked. Verifiable evidence and facts, regardless of beliefs, form the foundations of the natural explanations for everything around us, not the magic that the ignorant prefer. Nice and simple magic did everything! Ta da, no school required!
Stand by for the explanation of the origin of life. It wasn't very long ago that we discovered that all species evolved and continue to evolve all the time. Only the hopelessly ignorant dispute evolution anymore. People waited a long time for the discovery and development of lift, jet propulsion and GPS...so hang on a bit longer before giving up and relying upon imaginary magic to explain the things you don't understand.

Creationists/Intelligent Design nutters should be denied medicals on psychological grounds. Not sure it's a good idea having crazy people flying planes.
Before the work of Charles Darwin was accepted, all people had to explain the origins of the universe was superstitious nonsense from that collection of fairy tales called the bible.
As science explains more about our world, the role of religion and superstition fades.
At least the religious nutters stick to prayers these days and ritual sacrifices are no longer fashionable.

Creation v's Evolution
Actually I believe in both. Cathay Pacific CREATED a great company for whom to work, but reading PPRuNe for some times leads me to believe it has EVOLVED into a bunch of bitching and moaning people with out the balls to vote with their feet and go to greener pastures. ps I'M READY FOR THE FLAK!!!!

You're basically a sad old fella Old Fella... sitting on your own all bitter and twisted about a company you left nearly 30 years ago, slagging off people you have no inkling about, either their lives or their flying conditions. You haven't got very long left, so get out into the sunshine and try and leave the computer alone for a while...
