And now that we refuse to ship the 'fake' or 'copy' batteries as dangerous goods from the reputable manufacturers in the mainland, they are now smuggling them out in checked in baggage and in the hold. that gives me a warm and fuzzy. If the reputable manufacturers cant make a fire proof one, imagine how good these copy batteries are...

The aspect of ELI/ELM not being classified as DG is more concerning.
With the Company no longer showing such shipments on the NOTOC, and only limited information on the loadsheet, whilst we hear that worldwide there are ever increasing incidents that are either likey or proven to be involving ELI/ELM, it begs the question why the powers that be do not heed the ever increasing events resulting from such carriage, and re-classify this product for what it is - DG.
Surely it would have nothing at all to do with commercial concerns and the significant freight revenue that floods into the Company accounts from hauling such vast quantities of the product, or would it?

The only thing CX cares about is $$.
Not lives. Only $$
Bet your left one that coincident with this change in loading/NOTOC comes an increase in what the company chages for the carriage of same.

Is it likely the RPA operator will be prosecuted for this (apparently deliberate) oversight?
To my mind, this is more of a hazard than the loons with lasers.

We now see lithium batteries on the loadsheet.. but have no idea how many..NOTOC not required evidently. I guess live fish and crabs are far more worthy of the Capt's attention.

Progressive Airline.

To enhance safety, batteries including RLI and RLM to be loaded aft (whenever possible)
Aug
Batteries are included on the DG to enhance transparency. Stop whinging and trying to enhance safety when batteries are loaded forward.
Oct
Bugger transparency. Transparency to be reduced to the minimum required by law. ELI and ELM to appear on load sheet only. And you'll never even know if you have RLI and RLM on board.
