Cathay Brand Refresh
Cathay Pacific readies 'brand refresh' - Australian Business Traveller
Reveal is mid November.
Rumor has it, the grey cheatline will go.
Can anyone confirm? B-KQS just got painted in KPAE, (in current livery). Why bother painting the aircraft in the current livery when the new one is just 30 days away?

Here the new logo on a "leaked" inflight meal box sample.
Anyone have more info?

"We had some of our major sales regions say that we can't call ourselves "Cathay Pacific' because people would think we are a Chinese restaurant!" Cheng laughs.
"People said 'You must have Airline or Airways attached to your name'."
Cathay Pacific was also one of the few airlines at the time which didn't include the name of a country in its brand. "Among Singapore Airlines, British Airways, Japan Airlines, Thai and so on, we were an odd one out."
Maybe someone should let Cheng, the Director of Sales and Marketing, know that the actual name of the company is 'Cathay Pacific Airways'.

I think Hal was the only guy who ever used the same hat for 30 years...and now make that 43 years
Surely an all-comers record. Forget brand refresh...let's go retro
BTW, who is that with Goot and Hal in the original photo? PD perhaps?

So our aircraft still will look old and dated but hey the lounges will be cool and refreshed...and it only took experts from Hong Kong, UK and Germany to come up with this amazing 'select all, resize, delete background ' logo! I should have given my $2000 bonus last year to help fund this ;-)
