Apparently two previous aircraft landed before them, did a go around before the crash.
Due to windshear or nil sighting?

That is a very interesting question. I'm not sure I have the answer, but briefly I think it all comes down to "life is cheap" in Asia. There are simply too many people in some of these places and human life just does not have that much value.

Chatting to a KA mate, they held off KHH last week for 30 minutes due to low viz, heavy rain, ect.

At the time Transasia attempted landing a number of times, some went around, some got in, but the point is our lot thought enough to wait it out.

Transasia's !!!!e aviation record is due solely to their internal culture.
