HIALS,

How do we know they are "high calibre colleagues"? Do the other low fare operations in Hong Kong and throughout Asia have "high calibre colleagues" piloting their planes? Prove to me that you are high caliber and then I'll respect you as a colleague...

Not to quibble but JHK has already "lost" 3 airframes without even getting a HKAOC.

The "provenance" of senior QF/JQ "thought bubblers" is more the issue than the "provenance" of the C&T team methunks.

Thanks, I agree entirely with your point. The only reason I wrote was because some people were starting to 'play the man, not the ball'. I am not a defender of JHK - but I have met several of the JHK TIRE's and they are good people with abundant experience with other carriers and shouldn't be disparaged at a professional level.

So China Eastern is looking to go it alone with its own low cost outfit... At least they wont be able to base it in HK. Better buy up the jester HK memorabilia, will be worth something on Ebay pretty soon!

Might be why KA is doing all this training, no aircraft on order, but as you point out BC, might be a chance to get a few more 320s. They would probably rather see them go to the JQ network elsewhere rather than support KA's growth.
