CX wannabe for airport ground positions

It has always been my desire to work for my favourite airline. I travelled with them few years ago and loved it, the service and inflight entertainment were brilliant. Perhaps for me it was like going home because of the chinese music onboard.

Anyway, whats inspired me even more now is the desire to work for them.I have customer service experience working for an airline on my CV now. I am willing to relocate to hong kong or even london as I am UK based at the moment. It would seem that if I consider the Hong kong option, I would have to start all over again as a CSO - performing check in when I do have a wealth of check-in experience on my CV. My customer service experience I gained with an airline - was more of ambassador role and operational dealing with the departing and inbound flight.
My question is - I cant seem to find the this type of role advertised within CX. Maybe because of the different titles airline give this role. EK names this role as Airport services agent. Anyway..I know I maybe at a disadvantage right now because I am based overseas rather than in Hong Kong. How can I find UK based CX jobs working at LHR?
Would getting my foot through the door by working for the Hong kong Airports Authority be a better option for me, and then gradually for CX once the position arises.

Thanks in advance

I don't think inflight service is a good indication of employment experience with any company. Anyway, it took me 2 minutes to find this.

Currently we are recruiting for Ground Operations staff based at London Heathrow airport. If you have a relevant background and an interest in working in a busy airport environment, please click here where you will be transferred to the website of The Recruitment Place, our Ground Staff recruitment partner.

Thumbs up

I'll get in early before you get smashed by the trolls.

Do you think your question is best answered by Professional Pilots on a Rumour Network?
Would a pilot go to a "Ground OPS Staff" forum searching for a pilot job?

Have a good day.

Cx wannabe, why not join the Ask The Team session? Another propaganda experience provided exclusively for your kind and the like. Before that happens, lets see what are some of the responses by our valued pax:

- Gavin Jones Why are your flight attendants practically invisible during a long-haul flight? Why do they look at you as if you've just killed their puppy if you ask for a cup of water? I was looking forward to flying Cathay thanks to the reputation it has, but it was the worst in-flight service I've ever experienced.

- Marc Sofer Why do your napkins in economy class always smell like pepper? Who's using all this pepper anyway?

- Andrew Stock I have a question, why does an airline which obviously cares about its image and reputation on sites like facebook not reply to posts on its own page that report poor customer service and unacceptable treatment of its members?

- Flora Hui The cathay pacific's all kinds of services are totally suck, they always ignore and being really rude to their customer, and never apologize, nor feel sorry for all their false. I will not choose cathy pacific anymore after I have been their customer for 30 yrs. And their fees are really really expensive, but not deserve.

- Gaurav More I would ask CX team . Do you guys understand what customer service means ?

-Andrew Stock My wife and I are current members of the Marco Polo Club, ... Following very poor communication online regarding a flight enquiry, ...Karen was reluctant to assist us, and refused to pass us on personally to her supervisor,... Five days later, I received an email saying we would be waiting up to 20 business days for a response. The email was signed off with 'People. They make an airline.' What a joke.

Koyo - I have not based my liking for cx due to my previous flying experience.
I have three years experience working in an airport mainly on check in and have recently in the past year changed to an ASO role which is operational and of customer service nature. This role I very much enjoyed and wish to continue.

I thought I post here because it's hk related, besides the moderators approved the thread on here. I am not looking just at cx but also to other carriers.
