iConnect Slow
It is just me or is our company webpage damn slow... AGAIN. Trying to book flights but the web pages seem to take forever to load. Sometimes it speeds up but most of the time I can vacuum my entire floor before the page loads......

I booked interline flights using myIDTravel for me and the missus 2 days ago and from start to printing off the itinerary took about 5 minutes - admittedly faster than doing the same with my own airline's iJourney.
Perhaps I was lucky?

Its great for business when you are a customer and trying to access iConnect only to find it takes 2-3 minutes to load a page.
There was a survey result out last month stating that anytime a web page takes longer than 2 seconds to load then business is lost and peoples attention moves onto another webpage or company to find the same information. Pity we work for a company that doesn't think in modern business terms....
Well still waiting for iJourney to start...... 2:23 and counting....

I’m currently in Australia where the internet is still delivered by carrier pigeon and I’m not having any problem with either IntraCx, iJourney, iJourney Lite or Cathaypacific.com. I suggest the problem is either your computer, computer settings or your ISP. What type of computer are you running and what version of operating system do you have on it?

Carrier pigeon? Really?
I think you need to pay a little more for your connection then, or get a better provider. If you are in a crew hotel...........well what do you expect
I'm lucky to get a jerky 3 Mbps in the headjob hotel at hello kitty city on the best of days.
I easily get a stable 10 Mbps on Bigpond and over 25 Mbps on Telstra 4G. What more do you need anyway?
Now as for intracx............ahhhhhhhhhhh

It’s just a figure of speech of Australian internet speeds compared to the rest of the world. I have Optus in Australia which gives me a similar speed as Telstra of 8 mbps. Compared to my place in Hong Kong which is 300 mbps it may as well be by pigeon.
Regarding the company web sites mentioned they appear to be working “normally”. If it is taking minutes to load a page there is something wrong and it is probably to do with their setting, operating system or ISP. If the operating system/browser is old and/or not up to date this can cause major problems on some web sites.

BigPond Elite ADSL plans can provide download speeds of up to a maximum of 20Mbps to eligible customers in selected areas and up to 8Mbps in many other areas.
I agree Australia is waaaaay behind the times in terms of the internet and free wifi. However CX seems incredibly slow most of the time so I'm sure they are using the cheapest most convoluted system available.
