Missed out on command?
That said, if crwass is leaving simply because he/she has had a belly full then fair enough. I hope that the grass really is greener on the other side of the fence but somehow I doubt it.

My mate missed out on his command in this outfit, three and a half years later he's a skipper on a wide-body A/C at his new outfit. He hasn't looked back and he's extremely happy.

Well done chap!
Mate, this is probably one of the best decisions in your life.
I left in 2008 and have never looked back - great decision.
As you said, crwass - life's to short

It wasn't all bad. But no regrets
I miss many of the line crews, there are some great people.
Then there is some I don't!
I don't miss the long sleeve checks.
And I really don't miss dealing with the company.
It does seem daunting to consider it when you first think about leaving a legacy carrier.
However and most importantly, I have never once regretted leaving.
I don't come back to this forum much, however the first poster is correct. If it is not working for you, life is too short, find something else to do and enjoy it.

I left.......and have never looked back
If you feel leaving is the best option for you then do it, like all airlines these days it's just a job, but don't look back like we see others doing.
As far as I'm concerned I go to work and go home and get on with my life on my days off. My circle of friends include only a few good CX people and the money goes in the bank every month, just like it has from the day I joined.
Before you leave try asking yourself what is it that you want to get out of this job and is it attainable somewhere else? Maybe the entire line of work is wrong for you?
Good luck.
