Basings quagmire
Basings policy is a mess. Get everyone back to HK and start again. The differences in terms and conditions are already getting wider with different rules in various base areas.
If Aus rules that pilots can fly passenger jets without an age limit, will that apply in every other base?
If European based crews get 12 months paternity allowance, what about US crews?
If we have unions in all the bases, who negotiates?
What about command prospects when there are now rules of right of abode?
It's a mess and can only get worse.

It always has been a mess and will continue to be so. Have you considered that if the labour laws in a civilized country (ie NOT HK) provide a group of pilots with an improvement in their conditions, this could used to pressure the company to improve the conditions of all pilots?
