I wondering if someone could please explain how the leave works at AHK?
With the 28 days? Do you take block of days and then get your 6 days off either side, for example if you had six days off - then 8 days leave - then 6 days off is that classed as 8 days holiday taken or would the company say that you have taken 20 days holiday?
Thanks in advance

Tech quiz was 20 questions, some very basic and only a couple that I had to think/guess on. TAF format, TCAS RA, ASDA meaning all where multi choice and they give you 20 minutes to complete, all very straight forward.
1st interview was nice and relaxed with the ops manager and a trg capt. Standard tech/ non tech questions and all very straight forward.

chumbleywarner,
Many thanks for the info. In 5 pages of rubbish this is the only slither of information. Apart from some semi-official information on page 2.
I also don't understand the demand for PM's. If there is basic honest information about the day to help candidates prepare... why not share it on the forum. That's what it's here for.
Jim

Just guessing Jim but maybe nobody posts anything because they don't want you to get the job. Lots of competition, even for these LCC jobs. Good luck.

Didn't know Air HK was an LCC FR8R thought it was a Freight company.
Good luck with your English Rising Sun really. I hear there are some good Ck n Trainer's there and Line crew. As usual though there are a few stuck up ole Ck n Trainer's that will fail you for less than an English level issue especially if they don't like your face .

Any info about how AHK is doing? Any recruitment planned for this year? In the last round of recruitment, what sort of experience level did successful FO candidates have? I know what requirements were on their website, but did they take anyone with slightly below those requirements?
Thanks for any info.

ATP written: quite hard. Study CX ATP written test. quite similar.
Management Interview: no technical questions. Tell me about yourself, why AHK etc. no surprise. I think they just want to check your motivation to work for AHK.
Sim: on A300. Normal Takeoff following back course loc, steep turn 30, 45, 60 with stick shaker (I dont know why they do that. perhaps they might want to see if you recover from stick shaker first not forcing 60 degree steep turn with stickshaker) two engine ILS no flight director then GA, single engine ILSapproach then visual to land. SE apporach portion is very hard.
Thats about it. Good luck!
Nice bunch of people. overall pretty laid back.

Interview: no technical. WHY AHK? kinda questions. No surprise. Just checking your personality and motivation to work for AHK. Maybe english fluency as well.
Sim: On A300. Single engine ILS without FD is the hardest part. Make sure fly MS flight sim a lot before you get there. Otherwise everything else is straight forward if you are a airline guy.
Mdeical Exam: Easy but if you were glasses bring prescription
