LOL insurance for downunder HK based pilots

I would appreciate it if you could forward this email to anyone who may benefit from my advice.

The deadline of November 2009 to apply for income protection as an Australian or New Zealand pilot is fast approaching.

Those who would like more information on this market-leading Pilot Income Protection policy should contact us as soon as possible as the underwriting process can take some time.

Just a quick re-cap of the benefits of the Tower Pilot Income Protection Policy:

· Own occupation cover until age 55
· Worldwide cover
· Excellent cover with very few exclusions
· Re-insurability is guaranteed – this means that once you have the cover, the insurance company can never cancel it

Please pass this on to any pilots you know who would like a quote or further information and ask them to contact myself or my assistant as soon as possible.

Thanks Goathead, but...

Since TP has left FPI there is not actually anyone there who is correctly licensed to sell Australian Insurance. Sure, see KM if you want Europe covered.

You only state one of the options on offer from Tower, there is anther, and there is no mention of the limitations associated with it.

I suggest you either see TP or Drake Insurance who are the agents for Tower in HKG.

Regards

I would like to know what percentage of top cover claims get paid out and how many are turned down. It would give someone a better idea if the cover is actually worth while spending their money on the extra cover.
And any similar information of other types of cover on the market.

The rumours of TopCover's payout rate is not impressive. Whether it's true or not, I don't know. I believe GB had trouble collecting because he had some wine with dinner before he fell so they claimed he was drunk. Simply rumours though. Anyone know anything else?
