Band practice room at Cathay City

Hello,

Does anyone know anything about the band practice space/music room at Cathay City? I'm wondering what kind of equipment, if any, is there...drum kit, amps, speakers PA, mics, etc. Also, how much does it cost to use, how big is it and is it very busy?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers!

You have to hand in your Crew ID to get the keys, so I suspect your kids won't be allowed there unsupervised.

Hey guys,

Thanks for all of the great info!

I'm a guitarist looking to get a band together. I'd love to get a "Beatles" Band together with an aim to some light gigging, parties, but mostly for some good times.

If you are a drummer, bassist, another guitarist or whatever else looking to make some music, PM me and we can put it together.

Cheers!

Wasn't Nick Rhodes the keyboard player for Duran Duran?

No...he played the clashing cymbals...with a tin ear.

He does, however, play a mean 18 holes.

Sometimes the rooms at Headland are used for practice. I actually had a girl over on my last trip, playing the flute...

Fom what I can remember Mrs. Basil referred to it as "Captain TOGA's flute".

That's why it was originally called the Headland..but I was under the impression that the wind section had moved across the quadrangle. Maybe the Headland is just for practise.

No, you have him mixed up with another British band. It was actually Depeche Mode and Nick wrote this great song!

YouTube - Depeche Mode- Everything Counts

Everything Counts

The handshake
Seals the contract
From the contract
There's no turning back
The turning point
Of a career
In korea, being insincere
The holiday
Was fun packed
The contract
Still intact

The grabbing hands
Grab all they can
All for themselves
After all

It's a competitive world
Everything counts in large amounts

The graph
On the wall
Tells the story
Of it all
Picture it now
See just how
The lies and deceit
Gained a little more power
Confidence
Taken in
By a sun tan
And a grin

The grabbing hands
Grab all they can
All for themselves
After all

It's a competitive world
Everything counts in large amounts

The grabbing hands
Grab all they can
Everything counts in large amounts
