Aussie Tax Returns

Hi Everyone

Can anyone suggest any good accountants or companies to do Aussie tax returns here in Hong Kong. I know of SMATS but looking at other options as well.

Why do you wanna do a tax return for OZ heally?

Your based in HKG, live there, pay tax there, now you wanna pay tax in OZ as well?? Crickey!!!!

Im not that insane, I have an investment property back there which I have had for the first time and my wife worked in Oz for a few months. Yes, I am aware I can do etax but I am after a bit of consultation with it all as well.

Lisa at ATS good ( part of SMATS ? ) and charges $350 for a couple with 1 house ( we had some shares too ), every year after that is 20% discount, so $280.
Well worth doing the return as you probably know with negative gearing you will build up a nice tax credit for when/if you retrurn to Oz to work.

Use an Aus-based tax-accountant. Your tax-return for investment property held by non-resident Aus tax payer is simple. Hong Kong based tax accountants will charge you HKG prices.
