AOA - Spinless

Last and final post on here for me which I am sure some will be happy about

I never thought I'd see myself saying it but the AOA has been truly lost and in my opinion are now just Company puppets who will do as they are told.

Recent communication from the AOA said "What was agreed was our commitment to encourage support for the Company’s voluntary SLS scheme. We believe we have "promoted widespread support for the corporate scheme."

"You should continue to treat SLS as voluntary"

In the same sentence they say "Despite GMA's update"

Whom are we to believe CX or the AOA that this is voluntary? The AOA then also go on to act surprised that CX are moving the goalposts. Are the AOA really that DUMB not to have suspected this?

The AOA have agreed to be the Company puppets and I shall no longer be staying in the AOA.

I shall be signing up for SLS under severe duress as the message from the GMA was clearly a warning and carried for me a significant underlying threat.

Yes the pilot body on here can bitch and moan like old ladies but despite the childhood behavior/tantrums etc. most of the pilots in CX are very intelligent people. So AOA show some respect to your members, don't insult their intelligence and DON"T BS AND MAKE OUT SLS IS VOLUNTARY - IT IS NOT!

The AOA is you, myself and anyone else who pays the fees. It is not a foreign entity nor a private company, but a group of pilots with a democratically elected leadership of individuals preared to give up their free time.

If you are any of the following, then the recent events are for acceptance only

1. A non member
2. A member who was here during the 49er dispute and who quit
3. A member who was here during the 49er dispute and who was expelled
for non payment
4. A member during the 49er dispute who voted to drop financial and legal
support for the 49ers.

These 49 guys (now only 47 living after two directly related deaths + one of their wives who consequentially committed suicide) were given SLS until their RA of 55 and the pilot group finally abandonded them. Their law suits continue, partly helped by some of the pilot group who will not give up on their behalf.

The AOA is a good or bad as we collectively make it. Which do you think the company prefers? A solid group or a bunch of individuals. Don't ask what the AOA can do for you - ask what you can do for the AOA to make it better and stronger. You cannot expect to beat the company at every move and sometimes one can only hope to slow them down. United we stand, apart we will well and truly fall to levels not yet contemplated.

The AoA should have kicked the ball back to the company immediately when this shiitt offer was tabled! They didn't so they should have instigated a court injunction to separate CoS08 and SLS and they didn't.They should have inforced an increase to the dead line so they could seek legal advice on what they could do and they didn't.Sounds like someone is sleeping around!

huh?

They DID get the deadline extended

They DID look at legal avenues

They DID manage to get the promise of improvements to the COS 08 offer ( although it would have been nice to actually get it now )

I suggest you JOIN the AOA and then you'd know.

I thought it was "spinless" which I believe is a great quality of the truth coming from the AOA!

Another non-member speaking with little or no knowledge I presume?

slowdownnow...don't be spineless...just politely say no!
