Give my regards to Nick while you try to negotiate your next contract, the 100% one sided one they will impose on you!!!
You're not making any sense. You think if you remain a member of the AoA that somehow you will be immune to any actions from the company??? You're really kidding yourself if you believe that anything will be fairly negotiated??? When the AoA never stands up to defend itself what negotiating power does it have?? It will be more like, this the way it is and you will accept it.

You think as an AoA member that SLS is not being imposed on you....oh yeah I forgot the AoA approved SLS, so now you can go your merry way pretending that it was all negotiated and not imposed.

When I leave the AoA and remain on CoS99 lets have a chat again in 8 years time and see who has faired better???

The AOA continues to harm the contract by endorsing and therefore legitimising management actions. The only person who benefits from the AOA is that overpaid General Secretary they employ.

I heard the HKAOA did a legal deal with the Company such that the HKAOA are unable to help the 49ers in any way.

Not only that, is it true that the HKAOA has a rule that a member of the Cathay Pilots Union (formed to help the 49ers), is unable to join the HKAOA?

Something wrong with this picture. Would someone on the General Committee please explain?

Flap 10 , I commend you on making the decision on Cos99. I think you are correct in doing that.

WRT to you leaving the AOA, if I was you I would think twice about that.

Just for a moment think if every one left the union and we end up with no union at all. What do you think cx management would be doing . Do you think you would be giving you a choice between cos 99 and 08. Do you think cx would even be paying BBP or do you think that they would be assessing you 2 days before you command course, just like the SO's.

If there was no Union, would you have gone to labour to fight the SO BBP cause. Do you think that if there was no union at all, would there be anyone fighting the case?

If you feel that you have to leave the union, well no one is holding you back. What I do know is that life at CX without a union as going to be worst than life at cx with a Union. That is why I pay my dues and support them, even if I feel that they are not getting things that I want.

Ask yourself , why does management want to break the Union. By you leaving the Union you are playing directly into managements hands.

Cheers

I think you have your answer to that one.
