Lhr 744: Sop
Hey guys,
Just got my ppl and i hope to fly the big ones one day.
I have always been interested in the 744 and CX. So I was wondering what the SOP for CX at LHR is for takeoffs. Specifically regarding the flap retraction schedule and accel. height.
So what i know is: Flaps 10 and TOGA. But i have been told different things regarding accel. height and thrust reduction height by CX pilots for LHR.
Flaps 10, CLB at 1000', climb to 1500 then clean up.
Flaps 10, CLB at 1000', SPD intervene to Flaps 5 speed, climb to 4000 and clean up.
Feel free to add in any other info. regarding SOP procedure specifically for the 744.
times seem to be tough at CX, but stick together guys!

You asked specifically for 'CX'. 744 pilots are 2 a penny, but they are dutifully silent as your question was specifically targeted!
Maybe the hairy chested CX Captains didn't take too kindly to a 17 year old calling them 'guys' as well?

yes to same SOP for 744 and 744f, yes to t02 when light (unlikely ex heathrow on ULH....not sure what short 744F sectors would use). as for the 744f being lighter...all depends where it is going. the highest MTOW's are on the 744F fleet.
hope this helps
