Ancient Legend
Beers on the bus is for pansies!
In the days when men were men, aeroplanes were aeroplanes, cabin crew were on the "same side" as the cockpit crew and the B707 was the real "Queen of the Skies", then there was such a thing as "Chocktails", which occured after the last item on the aircraft normal checklist.

We landed in LHR the other day and would have liked drinks on arrival. The Chief informed us that due to regulations in London, drinks would not be available. Times, they are a'changing.
I arranged drinks for one of the guys for his birthday on arrival in Hong Kong. He had never seen it done before and the Chief couldn't remember the last time she had done it. I remember when we had drinks on most arrivals. Shame really.
Beers for the bus was a regular occurance, especially late night into Japan. Haven't seen that done for a long time.
Sign of the times maybe.
