To give and give and give?

What do you do for your employee's after months, years of asking them to give and give and give? Even now during this time of crisis?
Cost cutting and reduced benefits during the hard times but what happens when it's over? Does it remain status quo? Rewards them? How? Or do you take a bonus during the crisis and leave nothing for the people that work at the front line of CX? The front line that the public see everyday?
A serious question for folks to ponder. Open to all opinion
