MNL Models

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone has contact details for the ground crew in MNL that sells the CX models, I'm heading that way next week and I have heard they are quite nice.

Thanks in advance,

PUDDY

Just ask

I had no idea about the models in MNL until someone on the crew mentioned it when we there on a turn around. I just asked the local ground staff and they went away and got one for me. Took them no more than 10 mins to bring one in to the flight deck.
$600 later, done deal. 1 hr turn around is plenty of time. Comes in a cardboard box all padded with foam, ask them to tie some string around it to make a carry handle and you're sweet.

Now if I can only get it back off the boy..........

They also do requests, in case you want something they don't normally stock. They can make everything from planes, to boats, cars etc... The quality is of course not like the accurate computer-designed polyurethane models, but then for $600 you get a very nice looking hand made model.

Sorry I thought you were talking about the ones in the Edsa Entertainment complex or those on makati.

Cheaper models can also be found in Angeles and they are less than the 500 bucks quoted above

Ask for Luther or any other ground engineer, they have CX stock on hand - if you'd like a model of what you flew before then take photos or pics off the net and give them 6-7 weeks, a schematic is also appreciated if you can get it if your aeroplane is an oddball...One off's are 100-200 hkd more but a nice job right down to HF aireals, drain masts etc, have had an SA23, PA31, AN32, F27 done by them and impressed, make great gifts.

Cheers

pilots are weird

i wonder if bankers have little models of banks on their book shelves? or bus drivers collect toy size versions of the very busses they drive all day at work?

pilots are weird, aren't they?
