EK 25%
Just speaking to a friend who works at EK saying he must be happy with 14 week profit share! To which he replied yes but was alot happier about the 25% payrise coming! I told him I had heard all those rumours before but he assured me it was true. If it is ,that might see a few people thinking about their current positions and conditions wouldnt you think?

Just read one of there cabin crew threads, there cabin crew was given only a 5% payrise i think..or 3%..not much and from the thread it looks like the pilots are all expecting the same sort of increase, they also say in the same thread that last month EK had the highest number of applicants ie pilot applicants, it seems that they are getting a whole lot of guys from the states.
Lets hope that or not, that the US guys will be the first ones to move back as soon as the airline industry turns around, if it does!!

personally I think if they throw 25% at it they will have all the pilots they want but unfortunately I have heard that figure thrown around way to much and will believe it when I see it.

25% ? the relationship between monkeys and butt come to mind....
It'll be just about inflation or so, about 10-12%. Productivity pay will be the big increase, based on hourly pay only. The overtime at EK is horrible and less then a 5 year captain's regular hourly rate.
Don't think that EK is further ahead, they are catching up from being a long way short, but are still well behind. The quick upgrades are really the big difference.
