I thought only airbus had 'flap 1'? There was no flap 1 on my previous types(no boeing history). If you are studying the sim profile that closely you are most definitely not going to be able to see the woods for the trees!

Yeah, from memory those numbers are just about perfect. Depending on ambient conditions, weight, Cof G and performance degradation I might adjust the attitude by .0125 of a degree if I adjusted thrust by more than 0.0217 away from the specified datum!
Seriously; yes you're probably right about the 2nd line of your "guidance", just remember its an aeroplane [albeit simulated].Relax and enjoy, good luck.

sim hk

hey mate,
just had a successful sim ride in hk.
some advice from me:
- yes, there definitely is a flaps 1 position
- it takes ages to extend the flaps from 0 to 1 to 5, donīt start to late!
- watch your altitude during configuration for the ils, you need very high pitch
- never go below 2.5 pitch during steep turns
- after airwork they asked me where i am (DME, ADF) and what intercept heading i would choose to establish myself on loc. i was 15.2 nm out and chose a heading of 120. consider to take a 30 degree intercept, mine was to steep for the big lady, had to re-intercept
- in the second app they asked me to reduce spd 200kts, so i ordered flaps 5
good luck, and donīt forget that itīs big fun to fly the 47 sim
