Thumbs up Transfering Types onto UK ATPL

Hi
has anyone got any info/experience of transfering HK type ratings onto a UK ATPL? As far as I can assertain, I have to have 500+ hours on type and have a proficiency check conducted by a JAA licenced examiner? Is there any requirement to do a type written exam? I do have a valid class I medical.
Help/comments much appreciated

I am trying to do exactly the same thing in Singapore.

My undestanding is that no written exam is required and that it is possible for your HKG/SIN licenced TRE to be granted "one off" approval by UK CAA to carry out the check, which can then be combined with your 6 monthly company check ride.
