From a passengers viewpoint - CX spirit is broken
I am a CX Passenger only, logging 20,000 miles per month on CX. I fly all the time and I think CX is the best airline in the world, by far, from a passengers viewpoint and that's the only viewpoint that really matters for the airline to continue.
Regardless who is right or wrong in this dispute and without taking sides( even the Arabs and Jews are talking) the company has got to talk to the pilots for everyones sake.
I flew (XXX-HKG actual sector withheld) today, 9 pax including myself in Business Class, around 80 in Economy on a 330. These loads have become normal since this dispute started.
The cabin crews spirits seem to have broken. I saw something today that is unheard of on CX. An on-duty flight attendant sitting in a passenger seat during the flight and reading. I know this is grounds for instant dismissal so I won't say what flight I was on or which sector I flew. My point is the employees morale seems to be breaking.
It seems that in the interest of winning at all costs, the management is going to take the airline and reputation of CX to the bottom sooner rather than later. It is so sad to watch this from a passenger viewpoint.
The AOA seems to know what it is doing. I used to think the pilots were weak and spineless. No longer. The AOA strategy is brilliant. Every few days coming out with a statement about slowdowns and "one day wildcat strikes" that scare the hell out of passengers who need to be somewhere. Then what happens? All the flights operate on schedule but without the scared passengers and with no danger of the pilots being disciplined for delaying flights. Brilliant strategy. The company bleeds whilst the pilots do their jobs on time.
I hope the company will sort this out with the pilots soon because I don't want to CX drop to the level of all the second rate airlines in the region in safety and quality.
I am seriously considering switching my flying to another carrier. I love CX but feel like a "scab" pouring all this money into CX for tickets during this dispute.

Do u know how much they earn?
A CX Captain earn 2-3 times more than THAI captain who earns as much as CX Co-pilot. Whilst a THAI Co-pilot averagely earns less than a CX chief cabin.
If the CX cabin becomes morale breaking, why they don't look at the others.
Come fly with us. We don't have something like that. The only case happen recently because of the mis-communication.
