After all that we have seen on the news concerning the acts upon the US, I hope we that uses this forum will have a moment of silence and thank God we are alive wherever we are, job or jobless.
The pilots and flight attendants knew the risk of flying, but that is never the way to end a life. Please pray for them all.

Well spoken Swallwing, but we must also not forget those that were killed or injured on the ground.
Spare also a thought for those working on the ground, many on a volunteer basis, to help save lives and find those trapped in rubble and debris.
From the avaition perspective the repercussions of this event will impact on all avaition professionals for a long time to come. We must support the efforts of all governments and agencies to step up policing and security.
I must admit I dislike seeing armed guards roaming the terminal, but fear this will be the norm in the future.
My condolonces go out to the families of the crew and passengers.
