Cool So, you still want to join CX?

Here are two postings from the CX pilots' private forum:

------------------

Just came in yesterday morning and was sitting in the bus next to a -400 skipper. He informed me that 3 individuals under going ground school training have put in their notices of "See Ya Later!". This was out of a course loading of 4 individuals.
25% Rentention rate after 2 months .... hmmm, looks like the company is looking REALLY attractive right now to our new hopefuls!!
You can build the most up to date hospital in the world but if ya got no surgeons the patients are going to die!!

-----------------------------------

I heard that at interview with CX people are being asked what thy thought of having their names put on the Black list with IALPA if they joined. This will surely keep away the right people and leave us with only Pilots that nobody else wants. Talk about lowering of standards.

Talking

what they thought of having their names put on the Black list with IALPA if they joined.
What would these w@nkers expect brand new interviewees to answer. To even ask this question at such an interview, can only be described as self-serving, and naieve in the extreme. What were other questions, "Do you think Cathay is a good company to work for?", and "Do you think you will enjoy living in Hong Kong?", or maybe "What do you think of Chinese/Cathay's color scheme?"

Peurile, self-gratification founded on insecurity and a need to try to justify ones' actions.
This management is in an unrecoverable spiral dive!

Yeah, could be Kaptin, but suspect they are in the drivers seat regarding the dispute with the flight crew. 'Course, if the large shareholders lose confidence in the management, then all bets are off. Somehow, can't see this happening.
Most likely end up the way Comair did, the pilots accepting what they are offered, and not having anything to crow about.
As for recruitment, well KUL was tried, don't know the outcome. As long as the Captains they have now are top-notch, CX could very well get by with more "junior" First Officers. Other airlines have been doing this for years.

411A, I hear that Comair may be busted up and Delta will give the CRJs to the other Delta Connectors or form another company in its dust...all because Delta is pissed at Comair for the strike. Do you know anything about this?
Thanx

So, Kaptin M, how many '89ers stuck to their principles and resigned rather than sign a contract imposed by the employer without negotiation? Were you one of them?

IOS97--
Don't think so as one of the other Delta Connection partners have contract negotiations approaching shortly. However, anything is possible from ATL.
