Cx Freight Roster - Europe
Hi all,
Have recently been given the great news of being accepted by CX as FO freighter, most likely base Frankfurt or London, type to be confirmed. Is there anyone out there that could provide info of a -400F or -200F roster (crew names deleted if required) ? I am trying to figure out if I can afford to commute from somewhere within Europe.
Any advice or insights appreciated, especially regarding commuting from within Europe, i.e.
Using low-cost carriers vs ID travel?
How painful is it?!?
Are rostering staff sympathetic to commuters, i.e. attaching a SBY period before/after a duty period?
Merry Christmas everyone.

Can only speak for the -200F. Lots of the guys live all over Europe and seem to have no trouble commuting to LHR, FRA, CDG, etc. A mix of ID travel and LCC's seem to be used. I don't think it is painful but sometimes the crews end up finishing a pattern away from their home port which is frustrating. Do not expect any favours from rostering with regard to commuters!!
Good Luck
