SARS recovery

Hi guys
Another one of my boring questions: Altough I've looked hard in the search forum, I can't find a topic which explains exactly how CX went through SARS. From what I found out, the freighters were still doing great , CX had a pile of cash and then, there were special offers, the re-opening of the closed routes and something called "pent up demand" which doesn't say anything to this poor Frenchman!!!
Thanks for enlightening me! Silberfuchs, I know I can always count on you!

pent up demand.
I don't know the context, but I think it means that the demand for passengers was there to fly, but because of sars, people didn't. The ammount of people wanting to fly was building up, and was released when sars was gone. That's why pax numbers came back strong.
