FAR/AIM Upkeep
Do most of you tab and highlight information in your FAR/AIM?
Reason I ask,is that I have started doing this, and the most tedious task is, transfering what i have highlighted in one FAR/AIM, to the next year's edition.
Being a CFI, I feel it is helpful to have things highlighted, so I see no other choice.

Gizbug,
Is having the AIM/FAR tabbed for you or for others to look at?
If it is for others then the skill of finding what you want in that book is a skill needed to be developed. It seems to be designed to hide the information rather than make it easy to find.
I don't find the need to tab, as that is what the index is for.
Cheers

Well you get to see what changes have been made, so it has some merit. Hell I have been doing it for years. Its a good way to keep up I guess, I been flying for close to thirty years now, so I may have just a little more jaded view of it all.

gizbug,
Ever think of getting a Jepessen Subscription? You will not need to replace all your notes and tabs, just the notes and tabs on the pages that are updated. You get the added bonus of seeing what has been updated each time you enter your revisions.
AUSAJD43 - Full USA - Revision Airport Directory/FAR/AIM/Package $193.00
AUSAFR43 - FARs for Pilots - Revision $73.00
AUSAIM43 - Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM) - Revision Service $40.00
(Note: When you click on the first link it will ask you select your country and then will take you to the link. After that you will be able to go directly to any of the links.)
