Getting a PPL

Any knowledgeable civvy instructors out there know the easiest (and cheapest) way for a military pilot to get a PPL. I've read the appropriate document on the CAA site but much of it is useless drivel.

The easiest and cheapest way to get a PPL would be to drop the attitude and be prepared to learn.
