Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

Current SE-IR to convert to ME-IR?

Appologies if this is a stupid question. I tried lasors first.

Does your SE-IR need to be current to take the 5 hour SE-IR -> ME-IR upgrade course and exam?

The SE IR does not have to be current, but you will need to hold a ME Rating (or at least have completed the training) before doing the additional five hours (minimum) and flight test.
