Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

Question Type Rating Instructor TRI(A) Revalidation

Hello All,

I am due soon for my TRI Revalidation (Challenger 604 / 605) and would like to have some feed back of some fellow pilots who have already been through it.

My options are as follows:

- 1 sim session of at least 3 hours
- 1 Air Exercise of at least 1 hour minimum 2 T.O & Ldgs
- 1 approved TRI Refresher Training

Should I choose the sim session option, does the "trainee" have to be EASA Licensed or can the instruction be given to any type rated pilot regardless ?

Is the trainee's level of experience important for the authority or can I use one of my colleagues for instance so as to comply with the requirements ?

Can anyone recommend any good Refresher Training provider in Middle East or Europe preferably ?
