FI Hourly rate?

Anyone like to comment on how much they earn hourly as an FI?

I seem to have been on the same rate now for 7 years!

I currently get £20 per hours ad hoc PPL.

thanks in advance...

safe flying.

That's about the going rate. Some will have a retainer and then a lower rate - much better in the winter. Phone around asking for jobs, you'll soon see what the t's & c's are like elsewhere.

Anything from 14.75 per hour whilst restricted at a penny-pinching northern flying club where they seem to crash aeroplanes on a regular basis (River Derwent, Walton Wood, Crosland Moor) to 22.00 per hour both restricted or unrestricted. Shop around!

We pay a flat rate of £10 per hour that you work retainer- ie if you do an 8 hour day you get £80.00 and then £10 per flying hour on top.

ie If you do four hours flying and work nine to five you get £120 for the day which is £30 per hour.

And we do have vacancies for unrestricted.

PS- Its paid PAYE and you also get healthcare inc dental and optical!
