Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

So how do you teach "in range" in a brief ? I ask the question because I don't try. Instead I tell the student I will show him/her in flight what fields look like when they are

- Clearly in range
- Marginally in range
- Not in range

This is not meant as a wind up, I am genuinely interested in other instructors approaches and I will always shamelessly steal good ideas
