Recurrent training - how much sim?

My company is cutting back on costs, and training has, of course, become a prime target. Being a non-revenue section, with a soft heart, the bean counters are beginning to ask why we do so much training. I am hoping to find out, in very basic terms, what other airlines do in their training programmes.

Could you help?

What I am trying to find out is the following:

1. How many simulator sessions do you do per year as part of your recurrency training programme?
2. Are these spaced out over time, e.g. 2 in the first 6 months, 2 in the second 6 months?
3. How many Proficiency Checks do you do per year?
4. Are these incorporated in the sessions above?
5. Do you get any other simulator during the year? For example, CRM training, First Officer currency sessions, etc.

This is really all I am trying to find out - just how much simulator training you get?

Thanks for your time.

Cheers

Mike

My company is presently in a AQP Transitional Training Programme.
The annual training programme is as follows.
First 6 months.
3 day ground school refresher training, consisting of 2 days of technical refresher and one day of CRM and SEP.
This is followed by (after a few days break) a 3 day sim session.
Day 1 is a PPC.
Day 2 is SPOT + MT plus a LOFT
Day 3 is SYS + MT plus another LOFT
Second 6 months.
1 day sim session.
Day 1 1st look man + MT plus a LOFT
Plus an annual line check in the aircraft.
Sim sessions are 4 hours duration.
Hope this helps.
