advice needed for returning prodigal son!
I am no longer working in the flying biz but do work in a flexible industry which gives me a lot of time off. This year I renewed my PPL A and have also been flying Spaceys around with an AEF, I am 45, ex UK Mil rotary, with 2400 hours total time of which about 200 is Fixed wing light aircraft.
Doing the cadet flying has awakened my interst in becoming a flight instructor both rotary and Fixed Wing, with this is mind I am doing my CPL starting in feb next year with a view to getting at least one FI rating probably Fixed wing before the end of the year.
My advice would be where would people recommend to do this training given my unusual background?
Also is it likely that it would be worth my while to do this? and would anybody want to employ me either part time or full time with either one or both tickets to instruct?
By the way I do not want to fly Airliners or the North sea and like my day job a lot but would like to instruct as I have found out that I do really enjoy the little I have done.

Although I've been out of the business for a number of years, my first thought is that you would do much better to get your rotary Fi rating (first). The financial returns here are acceptable. The financial returns on a fixed wing FI rating, because so many want the hours in their books to get them into the airlines, are pathetic!
