Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

Question why all the recruiment at Oxford?

Oxford ad in Flight wanting FI.

It seems not so long ago since their last ad for FI to join them.

Any of the following reasons valid?

- Not being able to fill vacancies.
- not being able to retain staff
- more business
- or just expanding their operation

I think it is mainly your point two that applies! Somewhat point one, with the other points being hardly applicable.
The working environment is hardly one to inspire anyone for either client or staff.

3 more Oxford IR instructors have left for pastures new. With 7 also having left in the autumn and 9 on "lifestyle contracts" ( part time 300 hours a year ). I think it is mostly point two and moral there seems to be very bad.
