Question FAA CPL to JAA Instructor?

I'm looking at coming back to the UK to become a flight instructor rather than stay out here in the States to do the CFI/CFII.

Now as far as I know I need to do all the CPL Writtens and take the CPL Skill Test so that I have a JAA CPL. I am also led to belive that my FAA Instrument Rating converts to a JAA IMC rating. Once I have done this is it possible to go ahead and start a Flight Instructor course and become a restricted FI?

What I basically want to do from then on is start making some money as a FI before taking the ATPL exams and Multi / IR to ultimately obtain my JAA ATPL.

Is there anyone who can shed some light on the conversion process, or who could recommend a school for the conversion and Flight Instructor Rating? Thanks.

Unhappy

What you say is essentially true but don't waste your time on CPL exams, you MUST go straight for the ATPL writtens, nothing else is really reecognised and they're not a lot harder anyhow.
