Question RT groundschool equipment.

Does anybody out there know where I can lay my hands on a simple rt intercom for training. Only needs to be for two headsets, instructor and student with PTT switches.

I heard that someone in Birmingham makes them in his shed or something.

Any ideas???

The compamy that I work for purchaced a set from a company in Wales. This was the only company that produced equipment suitable for R.T exams and the kit cost around £500.

If you go to any electrician in your local area he could probably knock something up for about £50.

Good luck

If you find someone I am sure all the prospective RT examiners out there would be very interested.

Or...a copy of "RANT" and two basic computers.

It is my understanding that the CAA will be moving to the RANT solution sometime in the nearish future.

Thanks guys,

The RANT idea sounds good, I'll look into that.

Cheers
