Question Aircraft Gate Dispatcher(Servisair)

Hello,

Just a quick question regarding Servisair. I saw an advertisement recently for an "Aircraft Gate Dispatcher", basically I was wondering what one was! Is it a real dispatcher or a fancy name they give to somebody in pax services at the gate?

Cheers

When we used to handle Ryanair at STN we had Ramp Dispatchers (Ramp Team Leaders) who did both dispatching and ramping for the same flight. It could be that a Gate Dispatcher is similar but they board their own flight.

Could also be a split position, as in part-time dispatcher and part-time gate-agent.
