FTL confusion.
Right, split duty credit. This is how the ops manual reads...
"2/3 length of break or 1 1/2 length of break if at least 8 hours of the break fall between 2000 - 0800 local time where the break occurs with max of 6 hours overall."
I guess the company aren't big on punctuation. So here is the question... What does "with max of 6 hours overall" mean to you?

are you missing some text here? 6 hours or less! CAP371 says
When the rest period is 6 hours or less it will suffice if a quiet and comfortable place, not open to the public, is available.
So no need for a Hotel. Don't know if this helps, or even answers your question..Where's JB007 when you need him

Remember your Ops Manual was submitted by your Company for approval from the CAA FTL committee. The answer should be with you. It may be for your type of operation your Ops Director or CP decided on your policy
