Navkit update in OEJN
Dear all,
We have started to operate in JED. And we use 2x Jeppesen worldwide airway manual sets (ERM series [not the HP6000/4000 series]) on board. It makes 150 binders to be updated weekly.
So im curious about how do you / your airline deal with updating airway manuals in OEJN? Are there any "apron guys/navkit guys" in JED to update Jeppesens? Do you know which company has this kind of service?
Many thanks in advance for sharing your experience with us.

In a previous life I made good money as a jepp updater for several corporate operations in UK.
Now most operations are using Electronic not paper not enough demand.
But I am not based in the big pit, just the little pit.

A few years ago, I was station manager for a European Airline operating Hajj flights on behalf of SVA. I was living in a hotel in JED. I had Jeppesen deliver the updates to me at said Hotel, and I prepped the spare bags, handed them to the crew on check in and on flight completion the crew handed the old nav bag back to me which was also updated and became the spare set. Not a pretty solution, but we only had 3 acft. It worked for us but the hours were long...
