Flight Ops Courses
All,
I have searched as best I can through the threads but have drawn a blank.
In the same way there is an ATPL course for aircrew, what courses/qualifications are there for Flight Operations Officers/Personnel?
Quite simply, how do people get experience and qualifications in civilian Flight Operations? (airline/biz jet.)
Thanks in advance

I think that...
Officially in the UK you dont need a qualification (others would have to confirm the CAA requirements).
If you're thinking of doing something Ops based then your limited to:
1. City and Guilds with AvTech2000
2. FAA Dispatchers Licence (or other countries)*
3. Bsc in Airline Management
4. Experience
5. Knowing the right contacts and being at the right place at the right time.
But please remember that none of the above will let you walk into to a job in Ops and the Licence is from the FAA who have nothing to do with CAA. Its just proof that you can actually do what the licence entites you to do. althought I do know some UK airlines have sent their Ops staff to the US to complete this Licence.
I've done 1 & 2 (and PPL and courses with CFMU) recently and can recommend them all. If you're interested in either 1 or 2 then pm me and I'll give you some info and my honest opinion.
