Yeah - don't let it goto your head.

You don't know how many tw@ts there are doing Dispatch for the handling agents who think they know it all after 5 mins in the job and lord it around on the ramp and speak to people like cr@p.

Treat everyone as you would expect to be treated yourself - (respect is earned not a god given right) and you will get people to do a hell of a lot more for you if you don't go throwing your weight around and barking orders at people. There are a lot of tough loaders out on the ramp.

Oh and NEVER run EVER. Makes you look like you are out of control of the situation, and you don't get paid enough to break a sweat. The only exception to this is if it's YOUR f*!K up your trying to sort out.

Most of all though, have fun.

Devil

DONT FALL FOR THE STANDARD JOKES AT YOUR EXPENSE SUCH AS:-

1. ASK THE CAPTAIN IF WE CAN PUT SOME BAGS ON THE ROOF RACK.
2. ASK THE CAPTAIN IF HE WANTS TO USE THE STARTING HANDLE.
3. GO LOOKING FOR THE RAMP KEY.

ALSO ABOVE ALL BE NICE AND POLITE TO YOUR LOADING TEAM AS WORD SOON GETS AROUND IF YOU TREAT THEM LIKE SH*T. THE GUYS THAT HAVE BEEN THERE AN AGE ALSO CAN GIVE YOU SOME VALUBLE ADVICE SO LISTERN TO THEM THEY WILL HAVE SEE PLENTY OF PEOPLE COME AND GO.

HAHA, classics! I was unfortunate enough to fall for one similar 2 the starting handle a few weeks after i had started, an easy NG was in(something we didnt get at the time) and needed an airstart and I had to ask Ops controller for a 737 Starter handle! DOH!!!

Another good one that got people (not me tho i must add!!) "go switch on the windsock"

Classics!
