Pay

What kind of hourly pay is on offer for dispatch? I haven't been concerned with hourly pay since I was in school so have lost touch with min wages etc etc. Any ideas?

Devil

MC, as you well know thats finished with now. Any way there could be someone else now.

Getting back to the thread, the pay varies greatly from company to company. If you work for a handaling agent e.g swissport or servisair etc then the pays going to be pretty c**p (not much more than the min wage), however if you work for the airlines then i hear the pay pretty well. I heard a rumour that SAS at MAN were paying 20K+ when they were recruiting (not sure if its true).

Hi!

I work as a ramp agent shift leader at Ferihegy airport, Budapest, Hungary. I am emloyed by a handling agent.

At our company, the ramp agent / dispatcher has to :
-supervise and coordinate the turnaround.
-prepare loadsheets (manual or computerised),
-supervise the loading and
-ensure the ground safety and ramp activity.

Thus we are trained as loadcontrollers, so we are aware of the basics (and a bit more).

Wages are depending on the experience, but I can say they are at average level in Hungary.

Cheers,

Zsolt
