AM TAKING A/C TO USA FOR 1 MONTH TO DO SOME SCIENTIFIC WORK.#
CAN ANYONE ADVISE .
1.DO I NEED TO GO THROUGH A.P.I.S.(ONLY CREW ON BOARD)
2.ANY CONTACTS RE TEMPORARY IMPORT LICENCE.
AIRCRAFT IS BAE 146 IT WILL BE NON SCHEDULE NON COMMERCIAL FLIGHT.
ANY HELP GRATEFULLY ACCEPTED.

Yes you will need to get the crew approved by homeland security and then fill in the apss form on the internet.
Have you got FAA approval to operate the 146 with the crew access door open and available to the rear crews?? From what I remember from an interview I had there not so long ago the rear techies and crew attendants had access to the cockpit.
Will try to get some contact numbers for you as I'm back in the office tomorrow.

cheers Veeps .The cockpit door issue has gone away as we are operating under FAR 91 . And we have registered with an eapis online form.Still looking for info on temp import licence though.
