Asbestos warning for Sea King helicopter engineers

Apparently some parts may have asbestos, which can cause a rare but serious form of lung cancer.

Hi,

Seaking mech for 6 years, can some one in the know please tell us which components it was? If it was brake and/or engine covers I suspect the majority of people will be fine & as they are not concerned with flying staff I suspect it was. I hope it is not sound proofing bags, gbox drip tray or honey comb because that would be worrying with the amount of drilling, ripping and dust coming from these broken components. I hope it was some contained component.

I hope it was a contained component, I'd be a bit worried if it was in the cab like the drip tray, honey comb or sound proofing as they got dusty as anything with peeps ripping and drilling 'em. The only other thing that comes to mind is in the engine doors, I had to open 'em up a few times as the door latch would get jammed.
