MD11 tail plane questions

Hello a few questions about the MD11,

1. Where is the yaw damper on the MD11 exactly located?
2. What and how does the dual rudder work?
3. Does the MD11 have trim tabs on the rudder?

Does any one have a detailed empennage drawing of the MD11(maintenance/ops manuals). I've checked Boeing's technical section, but it was just general schematics. If any one could kindly send me a picture if they have access to it.

Any info appreciated

Thanks

1. Yaw damper will be positioned in the yaw control run.. Don't know where because never done a type course on a DC10/MD-11. Y

2. Split rudder with two parts per section. Increased rudder T/E displacement to counter loss of area due to an engine being fitted in the vertical stabilizer. Split design allows redundancy if a hyd system to a pcu fails.

3. You do not use trim tabs on fully powered controls, apart as an emergency power off feature on some types.

The yaw damper is a function of the FCC's, fly by wire as to say but seperate from a/p function. It was more or less the inspiration for LSAS on the 10 but functional on the 11.

The dual rudder is a redundantly powered system that mechanicaly deflects the trailing edge of the rudder's in more deflection.
